Getting ready for change

Life for the Krafts has been a whirlwind ever since we officially announced our belief that God was calling our family to serve Him as missionaries in Mexico. Our home congregation, Franconia Baptist Church, our family and friends have been so supportive of our calling.  We are also incredibly grateful for faithful churches like Parkway Bible Church who have come along side us so that we can serve God in Mexico.

In July Carrie and I were blessed to lead a team of Christians from our church to serve in Puebla. For many of our team members this was the first time that they had been on a short-term trip or visited Mexico. We were blessed to spend several days working on  projects at Puebla Bible Seminary. We where there during the world cup which gave us the chance to watch Mexico beat Croatia with a group of students from the seminary. It was a happy chaos.

After finishing up our work at the school the team spent another day working at Casa Alto Refugio where we sowed the seeds of the Gospel in the young hearts of the children at this wonderful Christian orphanage ministry. It was such a blessing to see Elvis (grey shirt - PBS student) being a positive, Christian,  male role model for the boys at the orphanage. We hope and pray to see more of this kind of ministry in the years to come.

Just a few days after we got back home from Mexico our family flew to Dallas where we went through Camino Global's candidate orientation. Aaron worked for Camino Global (CAM International) while in school at Dallas Theological Seminary so orientation was a wonderful reunion with old friends and a great opportunity to refine our vision for Mexico. We feel very blessed to partner with this experienced mission agency!

Not long after training in Dallas the family was off again, first to the Midwest to talk with churches and individuals about becoming a part of our support team. This little adventure was a good opportunity to begin to lean into our faith. We traveled 2500 miles in 11 days to talk about our vision for ministry. It was a blessing to see people respond, not to us, but to what God is doing.

Camino recommended we go to Support Raising Solutions training which took us up to Schroon Lake NY to the Word of Life Bible Institute. There we met with more than 70 future missionaries preparing to leave the US and serve God around the world. Praise God we are already at about 35% of our monthly support and 15% of our outgoing expenses (plane tickets, vehicle in Mexico, language school, shipping, etc...).

Our plans, Lord willing, are to be at 75% of our monthly support by the end of the year and 100% by Mar 1, 2015. This will allow Aaron time to wind things down in his role as the pastor of Franconia Baptist so the family can go to pre-field training next July and head out to Mexico in August. Thank you so much for your prayers and support to this end.

We would love to talk with you about becoming a part of our support team. If we can do this please email us so we can set something up.
